So today was my last day in Santander which was sad. I got up early-ish and got ready to go explore Santander with Rosa, Alma and my family. As soon as my family arrived, we set off for “El Parque de Las Llamas” where we walked around for a while, showing off the beautiful landscape to my family.

We then walked around Santander for a while, past all the lovely beaches where we got an ice cream each, and arrived at the Magdalena Palace. I had already visited this with Rosa, Alma and Daniel previously, but I was keen for my family to see it too – especially since it was where my Au pair parents got married. We didn’t go inside this time (my sisters wouldn’t have understood the tour guide anyway), but we walked around the palace taking various pictures together.

We then took our time walking back to the car before heading back home to eat. Once we got back, we had a bit of time to watch some Spanish TV before the paella was ready. It was so tasty!

In the afternoon, Andres and Daniel went in the swimming pool, while the rest of us drove to the centre of Santander, where we showed my mum and my sisters around, showing them places such as the Santander Cathedral and the Bank of Santander.

We even climbed the “Botín” centre, which I hadn’t had the chance to do previously. I was so excited, and the view was amazing!

We then walked along to see the “Raqueros”, before heading to the “Festival Intercultural de Las Naciones” in the evening. It was so much fun, and I loved trying out Brazilian food.

After spending a while there, enjoying the food and the experience, we headed home (my family went back to the hotel), before going to bed.

Another fantastic day!
