Follow the recipe!

You may think that the title of this post is strange, but I will get round to explaining it shortly. Anyways, this morning, after breakfast, Alma and I went outside and pretended to be explorers. We explored the garden and discovered a new species: dog. We examined both of the dogs and made notes on them.

After this, we made bread/biscuits. Well, having said that, it was more Alma that did it all while I tried to tell her what she did wrong and she didn't listen. This is where I explain the title: Alma did not follow the recipe. In fact, she didn't even measure the ingredients correctly until her mum showed her what she had done wrong. After correcting her measurements, Alma followed the next step but then did her own thing from then on. Having done the next step, which was to separate the egg yolks from the egg whites, she proceeded to ignore the recipe and mix all the ingredients together, including both the egg yolks and the egg whites.

There were several other things she also missed from the recipe, and so when her parents' found out, they told her how disgusting they would taste. Alma disagreed, and so she and her dad bet against each other; if the bread/biscuits tasted nice, Andres would have to give Alma 1 euro, but if they tasted horrible, Alma would have to give her dad 1 euro.

While waiting for the bread/biscuits to be ready having put them in the oven, Alma and I played a game of basketball, and I won! Then it was time to eat. After eating the main course, Alma proudly brought out her bread/biscuits for pudding. Alma, Andres, Rosa and I all tried some; 3 said they were disgusting, and 1 said they were delicious (no prizes for guessing who). So, the motto of that story is, always follow the recipe if you don't know what you're doing (and add enough sugar).

After eating, Alma and I relaxed and went on our laptops. After a while, we decided to film yet another video for her YouTube channel, so we filmed us trying not to laugh at a try not to laugh video which will be put on YouTube ASAP (link on MY AU PAIR FAMILY page). Shortly after this, it was time to eat. After eating, I called home and caught up with Tabby, one of my little sisters, and then I watched the film Spanglish with Alma.

Another amazing day!
