The centre of Santander

Not much happened this morning. We woke up, I gave the kids their English lessons, and then I helped Alma to decorate the notebook she bought the other day. Soon after we finished that, it was time to eat. After eating, Alma and I painted a crisp (a bit like a hula hoop but not) and made a necklace with it. We then scrolled through Pinterest trying to find something else to make, when Rosa came in and suggested we go to the centre of Santander. As Daniel didn't want to come, it was just me and Alma who went with Rosa to explore the centre. Despite only having 2 hours (there was a 2 hour parking limit), we saw quite a lot. Firstly, we met Rosa's mum outside the Town Hall, and so I managed to take a few pictures.

After this, we headed towards Santander Cathedral, which as you should know from reading the welcome page on my blog, was another thing I really wanted to see while in Santander.

Entry was only 1 euro, so Alma and I paid to go in (Rosa and her mum had already seen it and therefore didn't feel like going again and so waited for us outside). However, we couldn't enter the actual cathedral as a mass was taking place, and so we explored the courtyard part before deciding to leave and come back once we were allowed in.

As we had half an hour to spare before being allowed in the cathedral, Rosa showed me more of the centre, including the Bank of Santander - another thing I obviously wanted to see while in Santander.

Once the half an hour had passed, we headed back to the cathedral where Alma and I entered the cathedral. It was amazing and so beautiful.

Once we had seen enough, we went back outside to find Rosa and her mum. This is when Rosa's mum left, and Rosa, Alma and I had a snack in front of the cathedral.

Soon after, it was time to go home. So Rosa drove us home and then we ate tortilla in the evening. After eating, Alma and I spent some time editing our blogs before going to bed.

Another amazing day!
